Abstract
The reconstruction of a wide defect due to dissection of the posterior neck is very difficult for plastic surgeons. In this paper, a bilobed Trapezius musclocutaneous flap for reconstruction of a widely resected MPNST (malignant perineural nerve sheath tumor) of the posterior neck was described. This flap provided two important characteristics for the neck, both mobility as a functional aspect and contour as an aesthetic aspect. In addition, the other advantages of using this flap are (1) easy elevation and (2) time-saving procedure during surgery. We have concluded that bilobed Trapezius musclocutaneous flap is very useful for the treatment of a wide posterior neck defect.
