Abstract

Organizations have been increasingly interested in making their workers more safety-conscious, based on the premise that safety management are not put into action certainly if workers are not fully safety-conscious. However, being safety-conscious does not guarantee getting actively involved in safety management. Therefore, we aimed to propose the improvements for check/confirmation tasks by investigation of the workers’ opinions and experiments. These results were integrated in the guideline. Several companies have been implementing our proposed guideline, and actually they highly appreciate our proposal. As a result, we obtained that workers were now more willing to conduct confirmation / check tasks than they had been before the improvements were made.
