N2 - Ultra High Definition TV (UHDTV) which is a next-generation video format has been developed in each country. In Japan, test broadcasting of 8Kx4K Ultra High Definition TV (8 K-UHDTV) with 16 times resolution of High Definition TV (HDTV) will be started in 2016. However, there is still no interface which transmits uncompressed 8K-UHDTV between electrical household appliances and electrical equipment. This paper proposes an interface for the transmission apparatus for the household appliances to transmit 120 Gbps 8 K-UHDTV video using GI-POF.
