Abstract

We propose an adaptive channel state information (CSI) selection for interleaved frequency-division multiple-access (IFDMA) with decision-directed channel estimation (DDCE). The proposed method adaptively selects CSI between the stored CSI without DDCE and the updated CSI with DDCE based on sub-carrier power of the symbol replica. Different from the conventional spectrum flattening method with random phase sequence developed for IFDMA with DDCE, the proposed method needs no side information transmission. Through computer simulation, we show that the proposed method can achieve better bit error rate (BER) with no side information transmission.
