Abstract
We have made an attempt to detect bulge DNA by surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor. Peptide nucleic acid (PNA) was conjugated onto polymeric microsphere, which had been prepared by soap-free emulsion polymerization. SPR results indicated that PNA-conjugated microsphere can detect bulge DNA, and amplify SPR signal. Furthermore, we succeeded in magnifying SPR response more than ten times maintaining high discrimination ability by oligolysine-PNA immobilized microsphere.
