title = "Angioscopy by a new percutaneous transluminal coronary angioscope",
abstract = "We developed a new percutaneous transluminal coronary angioscopic catheter for visualization of coronary artery. This angioscopic catheter has an inflatable balloon at the distal tip and one - directional angulation mechanism. We performed percutaneous transluminal coronary angioscopy during cardiac catheterization cosecutively in 155 patients. With this angioscope, we could get good$approximatelyfair visualization in 81% (131 of 162 lesions) without major complications. We could investigate the endothelial macropathology of ischemic heart disease such as unstable angina and acute myocardial infarction.",
