Abstract

Two new polypropionates, auripyrones A (1) and B (2), have been isolated as cytotoxins from the sea hare Dolabella auricularia. The gross structures of 1 and 2 were determined by spectroscopic analysis, and their relative stereochemistry except for the ester moiety of 2 was established on the basis of the NOESY data.
