Abstract
Automatic extraction of tumors is needed in a medical field. A 3-dimensional image is composed of the sequence of 2-dimensional CT images. The extraction of a liver field is difficult, because the CT images include various internal organs. In this paper, an improved active net is proposed to analyze the information of CT images. It is shown this method has ability as a preprocessing system for extraction of liver tumors.
