Abstract

The implications of 9/11 with respect to the needs of law enforcement and security concerns for future networks is discussed. The technology explosion of the past 30 years has complicated both the government's role in citizens desire for privacy. The information sharing and governments role in providing the security cover to technical infrastructure and systems is studied. It is suggested that technical community must provide the necessary research to understand the nature of such problems in post 9/11 era.
