Abstract

Incorporation of the 13C-labelled acetate and formate into citreohybridones by cultures of a hybrid strain KO 0031 derived from Penicillium citreo-viride B. IFO 6200 and 4692 indicated that their biosynthesis proceeds via a mixed polyketide-terpenoid (meroterpenoid) pathway.
