Abstract

Recent advances in conjugate addition of alkynes are summarized. Since the initial developments using metalated alkynes, the focus of this field has shifted to the direct use of terminal alkynes through advanced catalytic systems. Several examples of enantioselective catalysis have allowed us to produce synthetically versatile enantioenriched β-alkynyl carbonyl compounds.
