Abstract

We developed methods for cell debris filtering and buffer exchange using nanofluidic devices. Shape of nanochannels were designed based on the principle of debris filtering and protein trapping. Using the devices, cell debris filtering and buffer exchange were successfully performed. These devices will be useful for single cell analysis in the point of pretreatment of lysate sample. In addition, the methods will provide new methodologies for transportation of solvent and solute in nanochannels, which will greatly contribute to micro-nanofluidics.
