Abstract

Cervical thymoma with thyroid papillary adenocarcinoma is a very rare condition. We herein reported the nineteenth case of this condition. A 60- year-old female presented with a lower neck mass deviating and compressing the cervical trachea. Cervical CT revealed the tumor located in the lower neck with calcification in the right side and extended in the supero-anterior mediastinum with a deviation of the cervical trachea to the right. Scintigrams of both 99mTc and 201Tl showed the tumor was composed of two parts. A transcervical approach was adopted for the complete resection on the tumor. Histological investigations revealed that the tumor was composed of cervical thymoma and thyroid papillary adenocarcinoma.
