Abstract

We developed GI POF based on a partially chlorinated polymer (PCP). The PCP GI POF has several features such as high-bandwidth, large core diameter, high numerical aperture, and high thermal resistance. These features can meet demands for high-speed data transmission over Giga bps in various fields such as IPTV home network, LAN for home, interconnection of consumer electronics, inside of equipments, factory automation wirings and inside automobiles.
