Abstract
We have obtained clear evidence that a copper(II)-peroxide adduct with an η1-coordination mode can cleave the C-N bond of a peptide group and hydroxylate the alkyl group nearby; this may provide helpful information for elucidation of the reaction mechanism of PAM, peptidylglycine α-amidating monooxygenase.
