Abstract

The line-of-sight (LOS) detection system has various applications, such as in the field of health and welfare, human-computer interaction, and safety and security. In this paper, we demonstrate a LOS detection system which has micro-fabricated transparent optical sensors on eyeglasses and its applications for information communication technologies (ICT). We first developed the shapes and arrangement of the optical sensor cells that allows us to detect the view angle in both horizontal and vertical directions with only four cells. We achieved the detection accuracy of 1.5°in the view angle. Then, we demonstrated applications using the user's LOS detected by the developed system
