Abstract

We have numerically investigated the co-operative magnetization reversal of magnetic particle arrays with fringe fields coupling. Demagnetization processes of one-dimensional particle arrays are studied taking the inter-particle separation S and uniaxial anisotropy Ku as parameters. Particles are found to rotate toward same or opposite directions depending on the values of S and Ku.
