Abstract
This paper proposes an energy consumption oriented grouping scheme in terminal collaborative multi-input multi-output reception. In previous studies, user equipment (UE) grouping criteria based on system throughput and user fairness have been proposed. However, these approaches do not take terminal energy consumption into account. This paper provides a novel UE grouping scheme that incorporates cumulative energy consumption. Numerical results obtained through computer simulation demonstrates that the proposed scheme reduces cumulative energy consumption while maintaining system throughput and user fairness.
