Abstract

Recently various qualitative tests for hCG in urine are used for interpretation of pregnancy, and high sensitive tests that have detection levels of below 25mIU/ml have been developed. Although rapid quantification of blood hCG by EIA method is available, it is not convenient and inexpensive enough to perform in daily clinical practice. For this purpose, we examined the serum of the IVF-ET if it is possible to detect blood hCG semi- quantification using a new sensitive hCG in urine test (MD367: Manufactured by Scripps Laboratories, Inc.). These results suggest that blood hCG detection level are related to WHO 3rd International Standard hCG level, and possible to detect blood hCG semi-quantification using a MD367.
