Abstract

We succeeded in the formation of aqueous parallel two-phase flow in nanochannel for the first time and applied it to fL protein purification. As a result, the removal of 79% lipid and the remains of 91% protein were realized at two-phase contact time of 10 ms and the volume of 16 fL which was much smaller than the volume of single cell (pL). Therefore, this method will greatly contribute to development of pretreatment process in single cell protein analysis.
