Fermi-Pasta-Ulam β model: Boundary jumps, fourier's law, and scaling

The temperature and size dependence of the thermal conductivity in the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam β model were computed. A quantitative understanding of these effects was obtained. Further, dynamical regimes were defined based on the interplay of surface and volume effects.
