Abstract
Frame loss of the optical layer protection switching using Plumbum Lanthanum Zirconium Titanium (PLZT) optical switch is evaluated. Experimental results show that typically 62 μs guard time is required for commercially available non-burst mode 10 Gigabit Ethernet modules.
