Gene transfer by the use of laser-induced stress wave: Cell type dependence of transfection efficiency

    Abstract

    We demonstrated that gene can be transfected to various types of cell lines by the use of laser-induced stress waves. The effect of cellular heating was also investigated, showing the different characteristics between normal cells and malignant cells.
