title = "Generating Arbitrary Cross Table Layout in SuperSQL",
abstract = "In many Web site, various data presented in the form of a cross-table. Cross-table displays two sets of labels, typically on the top and left of the table, and attributes corresponding to the intersection of both labels in the middle. The simplest example of a cross table is a double entry table. In this work, we propose a formal model for cross-table and a way to describe cross-table from relational data. Using this model, we implement cross tables as a function of the SuperSQL system, an extension of the SQL language which generates structured documents from declarative queries on relational data. Using this method, we create elaborate and expressive cross tables that were not readily obtainable with other systems.",
