Abstract

The coastal lowlands along the Suruga Bay have barriers, typical landforms of the coastal lowlands in Japan. Analysis of fossil foraminiferal assemblages is carried out, in order to reconstruct palaeoenvironmental changes in the bays which were formed in the present lowlands by the Postglacial transgression, and to infer the processes of enclosure of the bays by the barriers. -from Author
