Hole-assisted graded index plastic optical fiber with low bending loss

Abstract

We fabricate hole-assisted multimode graded index plastic optical fibers successfully for the first time. They exhibit much lower macro bending loss than GI POFs although they have the same refractive index profiles in their cores.
