Abstract

In this paper, we propose a novel user identification system which uses acceleration sensors. We obtain the acceleration data of vibration of floor which was generated by walking of action due to occupants, using the acceleration sensors placed on the floor. We identify the occupants by the vibration information. Compared to previous propose identification method using pressure sensors, the proposed method is superior in its transparent mechanism. It is less costly and less complex. We tested several pattern recognition methods. It turned out that Neural Network approach provided the best accuracy.
