Abstract

Novel bicyclic triols, attenols A (1) and B (2), were isolated from the Chinese bivaive Pinna attenuata. The absolute stereostructures of 1 and 2 were determined by spectroscopic analysis and the modified Mosher's method. These attenols exhibited moderate cytotoxicity against P388 cells.
