Abstract

Current lighting control systems mostly rely on motion sensors. However, the measurement range of the motion sensors is not large so that delicate lighting control is not possible. In this paper, we propose an LED lighting control system consisting of Kinect, a sensor agent robot and LED light bulbs with the wireless network system. Kinect can capture the human motion and the senor agent robot "e-bio" can follow a human. The proposed system counts the number of persons in the room and their positions. The gathered information is used for lighting control.
