Low temperature wet chemical synthesis of nanophosphors in the presence of coordinating molecules

Abstract

We report low temperature wet chemical synthesis of nanophosphors of LiEuW2O8 and YVO4:Bi3+,Eu 3+ in the presence of coordinating molecules, 1,4-butylene glycol and citrate, respectively. The role of PO4 units on the formation of sheelite-type structure is discussed in LiEuW2O8. The aging effects of colloidal solution are discussed in YVO4:Bi 3+,Eu3+.
