Abstract
Computer tomography techniques were used to obtain cross-sectional images of a magnetic field. A conducting wire was passed through the field at constant velocity and at a series of orientations (in 3° increments) with respect to a horseshoe magnet, and the resulting induced voltages used as projection data to extract two-dimensional tomographic images of the vertical component of the magnetic field of the magnet.
