Abstract

The method of nonlinear realizations is used to construct a low energy action describing the interactions of the Goldstino fermion associated with the spontaneous breaking of N = 1 supersymmetry in D = 4 dimensions. The full super-Poincaré symmetry group is then gauged and it is shown how the resulting locally invariant action describes a massive Gravitino coupled to gravity with a cosmological constant. The relation between the globally and locally invariant actions is further investigated.
