Abstract

Difficulties in collecting deposition samples at remote sites, such as over the ocean and at high mountainous areas are discussed with the data obtained on the research vessels and at the summit of Mt. Fuji. Distance from the land and the meteorological conditions are considered to be the major factors deciding the chemistry of the deposition.
