Abstract
While micro gird utilizing photovoltaics (PVs) and electric vehicles (EVs) attracts attention toward sustainable development, it is less clear how to design micro grids considering existing infrastructure (e.g., road network), as well as people behavior on the infrastructure. The objective of this study is optimizing micro grid clusters for PV-EV-based electricity sharing considering these points. We assume a maximum case scenario that PVs and EVS are massively installed. It is also assumed that PV electricity is transmitted to EVs batteries for charring through road embedded wireless power transfer (WPT). Under these assumptions, we optimize micro grid clusters that balance PV supply and EV storage capacity under a cost constraint. The optimization is performed by a meta-heuristic optimization algorithm. The analysis result suggests that PV-EV-based electricity sharing system is helpful to utilize PV electricity. It is also suggested that road embedded WPT is an important element to achieve electricity self-sufficiency.
