Modeling of Gain and Q-Factor Characteristics in Semiconductor Optical Amplifier based on Convolutional Neural Network

Abstract

This paper proposes a modeling method of semiconductor optical amplifier based on a deep learning technique. We report errors of gain and Q factor between the actual and estimated waveforms are less than 0.5 dB.
