Abstract
A highly sensitive near-field optical fiber probe was developed by etching a sharp-edged aperture and a double-tapered structure. The probe was designed for illumination-collection hybrid mode operation. The spatial resolution and high collection sensitivity of the optical fiber probe was demonstrated by photoluminescence imaging of single quantum dot. The probe was found to have excellent performance and high sensitivity.
