Neural Demodulation-Aided Optimization of Discrete Eigenvalue Assignment Enabling Error-Free 4000-km Transmission

Abstract

We propose a neural-demodulation-aided optimization algorithm for discrete eigenvalue assignment in nonlinear optical fiber systems. Using rank-based selection, our method achieves lower error rates than Monte Carlo sampling and experimentally demonstrates error-free transmission over 4000 km, surpassing conventional fixed-assignment eigenvalue modulation schemes.
