Abstract

Non-Markovian effects of intermolecular vibrational coherences on femtosecond time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) from a molecular mixture are theoretically studied. The non-Markovian behavior of intermolecular vibrational coherence transfers based on a stochastic model results in the suppresion of the frequency shifts of quantum beats in the time-resolved CARS profiles compared with the case in the Markovian approximation.
