Abstract

Nonlinear optical properties are investigated in Isopropyl-4-acetylphenyl-urea (IAPU) crystals linked to main chain of poly(4-hydroxystyrene) (pHS) which has high glass transition temperature and high transparency in ultraviolet (UV)-visible region. Experimental results show that the decay of the normalized nonlinear optical coefficient is a function of time at different glass transition temperatures for the polymers with Tg of 160°C.
