Abstract

In this paper, we present theory and design method of 2D perfect reconstruction FIR linear-phase filter bank. Several necessary conditions on the filter length and symmetry polarity are derived. A new designs method is presented without the use of nonlinear optimization. The object function is expressed as quadratic form of filter coefficients and can be solved iteratively.
