Abstract

Semiconductor nanostructures were analyzed using optical near-field spectroscopy. The spatial distribution of electron density modulated by external lateral confinement potential was imaged. Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy and microscopy of modulation doped quantum well structures was described. Results of imaging indicated the formation of periodic quantum dot array.
