Abstract
The measurement of the mean time of flight of the adult heads with a time-resolved system to validate modeling of light propagation was presented. Coupling of the laser light into an optical fiber was done which was further guided to the forehead with a part of the laser beam sampled and relayed as a time reference pulse to the streak scope. The prediction of the mean time of the adult head model was achieved by Monte Carlo simulation and was found to be in agreement with the experimental results.
