Abstract

This paper describes a middleware for distributed realtime sensor networks. Observing human daily activity is one of the most essential technologies for Digital Human research and the authors are developing a sensorized environment, SELF, which can monitor a living space. SELF has hundreds of sensors in it and all sensors are organized into a sensor network. The structure of the network is so complex that it is difficult to create and maintain the network. The middleware introduced in this paper are developed for this network.
