Abstract
We analyze the performance of the direct sequence (DS)-code division multiple access (CDMA) indoor infrared wireless systems on diffuse channels by taking the effects of intersymbol interference (ISI) into account. Moreover, to mitigate the effects of ISI, we propose the DS-CDMA indoor infrared wireless systems using an equalizer on diffuse channels. We show that the proposed DS-CDMA system using equalizer can mitigate the effects of ISI and thus can accommodate more simultaneous users than the systems without equalizer.
