Abstract
The development of new magnetic materials in which magnetic properties can be controlled by optical stimuli has been extensively studied. So far, several photo-responsive molecular solids have been reported. First, in this review, several photo-magnetic molecular solids are introduced briefly. Then, a new strategy for realizing photo-functional magnetic systems such as photo-chromic magnets is also introduced in detail.
