Abstract

The polarization-dependent optical properties of single-mode polymer optical waveguides are experimentally investigated. We apply the two fabrication methods for single-mode polymer optical waveguides: the direct curing method and the Mosquito method, and compare the optical properties of step-index square-core waveguides and graded-index circular-core waveguides fabricated by the above two methods, respectively.
