Abstract

This paper proposes M-ary PPM-OCDMA combined with an F-ary multibits/sequence-period optical orthogonal CDMA system (F is the sequence period). We derive the performance of the proposed system. It is shown that the proposed system achieves log2FM/log2M times higher throughput, keeping the advantages of power efficiency and low bit error rate.
