Abstract

Programmable data terminals have been developed to provide various graphic and kanji processing services in business and engineering. Features of the terminals are as follow: (1) Virtual controls of graphic input/output device. (2) Subroutine interfaces in accordance with standard graphic subroutine packages. (3) A hierarchical structure for graphic programs. (4) Graphic control sequence of DCNA as standard communication protocols. This paper describes hardware and software design considerations and some program evaluations.
