Abstract

We here proposed a novel reconstruction and recovery system of vascular tissues for practicable applications of tissue engineering using a microchip, which can be reversibly separated between upper and lower substrates. This separable microchip allowed to culture cells under medium perfusion without any leakages, and to subsequently recover the cultured tissue only by reducing temperature. This report is first demonstration of non-invasive recovery system of vascular tissues from microchannels, and will be useful for the regeneration of various tissues with complex structures.
