Abstract

We have performed torsional oscillator experiments with 3He-4He mixture films adsorbed on Ag powder. A Be-Cu torsional oscillator has been cooled to 900μK with a PrNi5 nuclear refrigerator. With a precision of 2×10-4 3He atoms/Å2 in the resonant frequency measurement, we have found no evidence for a 3He superfluid transition. The results of measurements of 3He inertial effective mass are also reported.
